All domestic properties sold in the UK, must have a Home Information Pack (HIP), before they can be marketed for sale. Home owners can purchase an Independant HIP and take it along to any estate agent. Some estate agents will charge extra to release the HIP if you choose to move agents. If you buy an Independant HIP from us, a confirmation email will be sent to any agent, giving them instant permission to start to market your home.

The EPC inspection will cover:

• the level of insulation in cavity walls and loft,
• The type and condition of heating and hot water system,
• Heating controls, such as thermostats, timer and radiator valves
• Lighting usage and type.

This means that Homeowners need to be far more aware of how energy efficient their home is and consequently, how large their Carbon Footprint is on the planet. Energy performance is rated in terms of the energy use per metre of floor area, energy efficiency based on fuel costs and environmental impact based on CO 2 emissions.

The report will then itemize possible low/medium/high cost improvements to the properties insulation, heating type and controls. It will also identify appropriate types of Sustainable Energy Systems that would further reduce the properties CO 2 emissions.
